​South Bruce OPP report stolen car; and third person charged in drug raid

SOUTH BRUCE OPP LOOKING FOR STOLEN VEHICLE
 
(CHESLEY, ON) - Nov. 23, at 10:48 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a theft at a residence along Second Avenue Southwest in Chesley. 

Between 10:15-10:35 p.m., Nov. 23, a black Ford Fusion (similar to the vehicle below), with Licence No. CLDS 002, was taken. The rear bumper has black duct tape on it. The serial number is on file with police.



THIRD PERSON CHARGED IN DRUG RAID IN ARRAN TOWNSHIP

(ARRAN TOWNSHIP, ON) - An investigation was launched several months ago, regarding suspected criminal activity at an identified property on Concession 4 in Arran Township. Significant OPP resources were utilized to conduct a thorough investigation on this property and any people associated with it.

Nov. 15, members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit, OPP West Region Emergency Response Team, OPP Tactics and Rescue Unit, OPP Canine Unit and South Bruce OPP, executed a search warrant at a property along Concession 4 in Arran Township.

As a result of the continuing investigation, a third person has been arrested.

Robert RAPELJE, 21, of Arran-Elderslie Township was charged with:
 
  • Possession of a Weapon contrary to a Prohibition Order
  • Participation in a Criminal Organization
  • Alter/Destroy/Remove a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
  • Seven counts of Possession of Property obtained by Crime over $5,000
  • Seven counts of Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5,000
  • Fail to comply with Probation Order

The accused will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton to answer to the charges.
