South Bruce OPP investigating fatality near Mildmay

(CARRICK TWP, ON) - Nov. 24, at 7:33 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Bruce County Road 28 and Bruce County Road 6 in Carrick Township.

Officers responded to the scene with members of the Mildmay-Carrick Fire Department and Bruce County Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

One person has been pronounced deceased. The identity is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification.

Another person has been airlifted to a London hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

Members of the OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team are assisting the South Bruce OPP with this investigation.

Bruce County Road 28 and Bruce County Road 6 were closed near the scene for the protection of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area. 

The investigation is in its early stages.
