The following Letters to Santa were written by Kindergarten students in Mrs. Hick’s and Mrs. Spencer’s class at Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School:

Dear Santa,
How’s the weather? I’m happy when Mommy tickles me. My favourite food is hamburgers. My favourite movie is “Elsa” and my favourite song is “Let it Go.” At school, I like to learn things. I like going to swimming lessons. I’m really hoping for some camp toys and a snow globe. I’d also like some costumes. I will leave you cookies and get some carrots for the reindeer.

What do you want for Christmas? At school, I like playing with everybody. At recess, I like playing with all of my friends. My favourite food is everything. I like cookies the most. Do you like candy? I like candy. It’s very good. My favourite candy is blue suckers. My favourite movie is “Sonic” and my favourite song is “Prince Ali.” I like dancing to it. And I like to go bowling. For Christmas, I would like a crazy carpet that can fly. I will leave you cookies. We could make Halloween cookies or Christmas cookies. Mommy and Daddy can make everything. I love you Santa!

How are the reindeer doing? I like reading books about Santa. I dreamed about Santa playing with me. We were playing hide and seek. My favourite food is hot chocolate with marshmallows. I will leave you some, Santa. I will put out nice things for you to eat, like cookies. For Christmas, I would like Spiderman toys and Spiderman cars and a Spiderman truck. I have a lot of Batman stuff.

Dear Santa,
How are you doing? At school, I like to do everything and have fun with my friends. I love being on pick up, it’s my favourite thing. My favourite food is the bumpy noodles with meat and cheese. I eat mushrooms in the noodles. Guess what? I don’t even taste them! They taste like nothing. For Christmas, I would like a bulldozer that I can go in and a tractor that I can work with a bucket with levers but it doesn’t take any batteries. I will leave carrots for the reindeer, and pink and plain cookies for you. I’m making them with my Mom. We love making stuff together. I hope that you don’t crash and you have Rudolph the red-nosed reindeer to guide the way.

How are you? I’ve been super extra good this year. I’ve been wondering If you could send me an Elf on the Shelf? And are you REALLY REAL? I’m thankful to also spend Christmas at my Omma and Oppa’s house too. Here are a few of my favourite things, I love to eat suckers …and summer sausage and drink Kool-Aid. I love the movie “Buddy the Elf” and reading “The Night Before Christmas.” I love the song “Hot Dog Diggity Dog”. I am wishing for a happy Christmas with my family. I would like an Underwater Mermaid Tail and a Gabby Gabby Headband. And an “A for Addley” Book. I wish for my mom to have a great Christmas with my dad, and can you also bring her a family necklace? How are you? I have been feeling good because I play in the summer at the beach with my friend, Charlotte. I wonder why you have a big black belt? I’m very grateful for the summer because I get to eat ice cream! My favourite movie is “ELF” and I love Fancy Nancy books. I like your red clothes, they look good on you. Red and green are Christmas colours and I like the elves’ red hats too. I’m hoping for a kitty toy, Baby Alive food, diapers and napkins to wipe her bottom. Monster High Doll, new earrings and a kitty stuffie please. Can you bring my brother, Owen, more controllers for his PS4 so more friends can play with him? And a new Peppa Pig house for my baby sister. A hammer for my Dad and a ‘twister’ for the screws. A sloth ornament and new glasses for Mom. I would also like a whale stuffie whose eyes are fabric that I can sit and bounce on, I think your elves can make it. You’re the BEST Santa ever! And I love you.

How are you? I have been feeling silly, when you wink at me. I wonder if you can buy toy pencils for babies? I am thankful and grateful for my mommy and daddy.
