Trillium Court raises almost $800 at Alzheimer bake sale and coffee break
There were lots of goodies at the Alzheimer Society bake sale and coffee break, hosted Friday by Trillium Court Seniors' Community, Kincardine.

But you had to be there early.

Organizers said that residents and staff were lined up at 9:30 a.m. for the event which didn't officially open until 11 a.m. Within a half-hour, the tables were bare, save for a few cookies, squares and a couple of cakes.

If you didn't have a sweet tooth, you could purchase a cute, cuddly teddy bear in support of the cause. People were also invited to enjoy coffee and treats in the atrium.

The event raised $775 for the Alzheimer Society, said lifestyle consultant Heike Boettcher.

She added that Trillium Court raised $400 at its Walk for the Parkinson Society, held Sept. 17.
