February 7, 2023
(TIVERTON, ON) - The South Bruce OPP took on Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services in a long-standing friendly hockey rivalry, also known as the "Guns and Hoses" charity hockey game.
The fun-filled match, which took place at the Tiverton Arena Sunday afternoon as part of Tiverton Winterfest, was well-attended.
Both teams gave it their all, and after a tough three periods, the "sharp-shooting" police officers claimed victory with a 5-4 win over the "high-pressure" of the Kincardine firefighters.
Prizes were handed out after a raffle and chuck-the-puck event which was a favourite with the kids in attendance.
The Kincardine Food Bank and Huron Shores Hospice were on hand to collect donations of cash and more than 20 tote-containers full of donated food items.
The South Bruce OPP and Kincardine Fire and Emergency Services thank everyone who attended the event and supported the community.
