Kincardine Bulldogs edged by Wingham, 4-3, and out of the playoffs

The Kincardine Bulldogs travelled to Wingham, Friday night, and lost a close game, 4-3, in overtime, putting them out of the playoffs in the Pollock Division of the Provincial Junior Hockey League.
The Ironmen opened the scoring early in the first period on the powerplay, before Kincardine’s Steve Grant scored on the powerplay, unassisted, to make it a 1-1 game.
The second frame saw Wingham go ahead again, but the ‘Dogs tied it up on a goal by Gavin Downs from Tyler Ertel and Gavin Gibbons, to tie it at 2-2.
Kincardine went ahead minutes into the third period on a goal by Grant from Liam Colhoun, but Wingham tied it at 3-3, forcing the game into overtime.
Minutes into the extra period, Wingham scored, to take the 4-3 win, and the series.
Kincardine goalie Carter Garvie made 39 saves on 43 shots.
