Long-time administrative secretary at Kincardine hospital dies at age of 93

Luella "Jeanne" Drew (née McColl) of Walkerton, formally of Kincardine, died peacefully at Brucelea Haven - Walkerton, Oct. 8, 2015, at the age of 93.

She was born in Norwood, Ontario, July 3, 1922, to the late Hugh and Myra McColl. Loving wife of the late Douglas Drew (1983).

Survived by her son, Bill (Lorraine) Drew of Hanover; and her daughter, Susan Corrin of Calgary. The best gramma to Christy (Kent) of Point Clark, Jenny (Bill) of Woodstock, Tara (Chris) of Kitchener, Jesse (Chrissy) of Calgary and Michelle (Jared) of Hamilton. Loving great-grandmother of Owen, Zeke, Landyn, Justice, Tytus, Jackson, Minka and Selah.

Jeanne was an employee of the Kincardine District Hospital as the administrative secretary for many, many years. She was also the first life-member of the Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary. She had a passion for cats, knitting and reading.

The family thanks the staff of Brucelea Haven in Walkerton for taking such good care of our Mom/Gramma.

The funeral will be held at the Anglican Church of the Messiah, Kincardine, Friday, Oct. 16, 2015, at 11 a.m., with Rev. Eric Williams officiating.

Interment, Kincardine Cemetery.

Memorial donations to the Anglican Church of the Messiah or the Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary (Special Equipment Fund) would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
