Readers chime in on Municipality of Kincardine’s poor treatment of Lions Club
To the Editor:
RE: "Shame on municipality for shabby treatment of local service club, say residents"
The letter that Lois and Bob Blake wrote, concerning the Lions Club's huge yard sale this past weekend, is right on the money!
Why would the Municipality of Kincardine charge the club a huge rental fee for the Davidson Centre, especially with ALL the Lions do for Kincardine?
The Legion was jam-packed and it charged only for clean-up! Kudos to the Legion executive!
There are a lot of things that could go ahead in Kincardine BUT someone always puts a stop to it! Why?
Does Kincardine not want to grow and attract things to the municipality?
Every other municipality has great shopping, a choice to shop and eat!
And so many people can shop out of town, with a choice of stores, and eating places, NOT all pizza places!
Thanks Lois and Bob, for a great letter!
I hope someone pays attention to it!
Sincerely,
Joan Hartwick

To the Editor:
We are lucky to have this hard-working Lions Club that gives so much to Kincardine and the many members who volunteer their time.
Shame on you, Municipality of Kincardine!
