Thanks to Ruth Anne Hollands Robinson for sharing her family history.

I was not born in this area but I still love to read her family history and stories, which are always well-written and a joy to read.

RE: “Secord Memorial belongs in front of Kincardine Library”

I totally agree with Eric Howald.

Dr. Solomon Secord lived and worked here for more than 50 years, contributing to this community.

When the people who are complaining about the monument have also given 50 years of their time to making Kincardine a better place, then they might have a different perspective.

If you have a problem with the monument, use that as a teaching resource. We learn from history, we don’t discard it.

I agree with Eric; put it back where it belongs!
