Round-about better for intersection of Highway 21 and Kincardine Avenue
To the Editor:
As a concerned citizen, I would like to express my opinion on the changes that are being planned for the intersection of Highway 21 and Kincardine Avenue.
I think installing traffic lights would be a long-lasting mistake. It would bring the southbound traffic to a dead stop on that steep incline. The heavy-loaded vehicles wouldn’t be able to get started and up to highway speed for over a mile.
Bruce Avenue traffic would have a real problem, exiting onto Highway 21
A round-about would keep the traffic moving steadily. The land is open for an easy and quick build of a round-about.
I suggest the planners take a drive or go for a ride in a heavy-loaded vehicle, heading south on Highway 21 from that intersection, and see for themselves.
Sincerely,
Lynn Farrell
