​Movember in September golf tournament raises more than $22,000

The third annual “Movember in September” golf tournament has raised $22,200 for research and awareness into men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

Held Friday afternoon at Ainsdale Golf Course, the event drew 128 golfers on 32 teams, who headed out on the greens under a beautiful, sunny sky with a gentle, cooling breeze.

Organizer Todd Thompson was thrilled with the turn-out, and thanked everyone who participated, as well as those who donated money and more than 100 items for the silent and live auctions.

Of special note, was the David Webb Chipping Challenge, held in support of Thompson’s friend in Australia who is currently facing health challenges.
