Born Nov. 25, 1937, in Toronto, Bob was known as the “the quiet man” to his family and friends. He had many passions in his full life, such as his love for flying. He earned his pilot’s licence before his driver’s license at 15 years of age. He was in the Air Cadets and the Royal Canadian Air Force, Regular Force.
Other passions of his, included painting, Canadian history, and his extensive collection of lead toy soldiers. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially that of Western Canada and the Northwest Territories.
His greatest passion of all, however, was the love he shared with his family. He was a family man, through and through.
Bob was an electrician at Labatt’s Brewery for 28 years, and enjoyed 20-plus years of retirement in Kincardine, and later, Rosewood RVilla in Ripley.
His family is grateful for Kincardine physicians, Dr. Lisa Roth, Dr. Jason Murray and Dr. Damian Gunaratne, and acknowledges the wonderful caring staff at RVilla, as well as the compassionate care he received at Huron Shores Hospice, in the final chapter of his life.
