Kincardine area gets two-day blast of snow
The Kincardine area got a solid blast of snow that blew in Monday night and hung around through Wednesday.

Heavy snowfall and high wind combined to bring blowing and drifting snow which caused the cancellation of school buses in Kincardine, Ripley and Lucknow, Tuesday morning, and again Wednesday morning, with some buses cancelled and others just delayed.

The special meeting of Kincardine council was cancelled Monday night due to the snowstorm and an unexpected Internet outage.

Tuesday morning, the sound of snowblowers filled the air, and motorists were clearing their vehicles and driveways. And even more snow coated the area by Wednesday morning.

The forecast calls for a high of seven degrees Celsius and light rain tomorrow, with more of the same through the weekend, just in time for the Santa Claus Parade, Saturday afternoon!
