Huron County OPP investigating fatality northeast of Auburn

(ASHFIELD COLBORNE WAWANOSH TOWNSHIP, ON) - A two-vehicle collision, involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck/trailer combination, has claimed the life of a Perth East resident.

Dec. 12, just after Noon, the Huron County OPP, Huron County Paramedic Services and the Lucknow Fire Department responded to the intersection of Donnybrook Line and Belgrave Road, northeast of Auburn, in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh Township after receiving a 9-1-1 call about a collision.

Upon arrival, emergency services located both heavily-damaged vehicles and discovered that the driver of the passenger vehicle sustained fatal injury and was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Members of the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement Team attended the scene to assist with the collision investigation.

The investigation into the cause of the accident is ongoing.

The deceased is a 20-year-old resident of Perth East.
