Ripley Wolves maintain first place in OEHL
The Ripley Wolves threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks’ net Saturday night (Dec. 16), on their way to a big 5-2 win.
The Wolves out-shot the under-manned ‘Hawks, 51-28, and saw contributions up and down the line-up, with goals by Gerritt Satosek (2), Ethan Skinner, Garrett Meurs and Dan Nicoloff.
Assists went to Jarred Colling (2), Meurs (2), Mike Howes, Tyson Soers, Cody Britton, Derek Skinner, and Kaden Hoggarth.
Goalie Jason Hamilton got the win in the Wolves net.
The Wolves remain in first place in the Ontario Elite Hockey League (OEHL) with a 10-1-3 record for 23 points, while Creemore has 19, and Saugeen Shores, Durham and Minto are all tied for third overall with 17 points.
The Wolves were off for a Christmas break and resume play Saturday, Dec. 30, in Lucknow at 7:30 p.m. They're next home game is Saturday, Jan. 6, at 7 p.m., at the Ripley Arena.
