Kincardine Home Expo to focus on “Lakeside Living”
The 2024 Home Expo is returning to Kincardine, April 27-28, at the Davidson Centre.

Hosted by the Kincardine and District Chamber of Commerce, the event drew about 2,000 visitors last year, with many making the drive in from Listowel, Goderich, Port Elgin and Palmerston and other nearby communities.

Opening ceremonies will take place at 10 a.m., Saturday, April 27, and the show runs 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday.

The theme of this year’s expo is “Lakeside Living” and organizers expect almost 50 vendors will be on hand, offering products meant to enhance home, lifestyle, fashion, finance and much more, along the beautiful shores of Lake Huron.

Besides exhibitors, the event will feature demonstrations and entertainment throughout the weekend, including a free swim on Sunday at 2 p.m.

New this year, the Davidson Centre gymnasium will be transformed into the “Lakeside Living” Marketplace, Saturday. Those who operate not-for-profit groups, home-based businesses or small businesses, will have the opportunity to showcase their services and products for an economical price.

“We are excited to be able to bring the expo back to Kincardine again this year,” said chamber president, Manny Page. “Last year saw such a huge response from our vendors and the public. As always, the show keeps evolving and we are proud to announce this year’s show will include a marketplace on Saturday, for smaller, home-based-type businesses and artisans.”

Chamber executive director Tammy Schneider said events such as these, can happen only with the support of local businesses. NPX is sponsoring a vendor gathering, Bruce Telecom is the media/Internet sponsor, Heritage Fire and Furnace Company is sponsoring entertainment, and Miller Insurance is sponsoring the free swim.

Thanks are also extended to the chamber’s community sponsors: Bruce Power, EPCOR and Reliance Home Comfort.

There is no admission charge for the event, but donations will be gratefully excepted of non-perishable food items for the Kincardine Food Bank.

Vendors interested in more information, can contact the chamber at 519-396-9333 or via E-mail at director@kincardinechamber.com. Early-bird pricing is in effect until Feb. 15.
