Huron-Bruce U15C Blizzard takes silver medal at International Silver Stick

The Huron-Bruce U15C Blizzard brought home the silver medal after a strong showing at the International Silver Stick tournament in Forest on the weekend.
The Blizzard had three wins and one loss in round-robin play, defeating the Kent Cobras, 4-3; the Cobden Muskrat Voyageurs, 4-2; and the St. Thomas Stars, 2-1; and taking a 4-3 loss to the East Lambton Eagles.
Following a 4-3 win over the Haliburton Highland Storm in the semi-finals, the Blizzard faced the East Lambton Eagles again in the championship final and lost, 5-1, bringing home the silver medal and finalist banner.
The Huron-Bruce U18 Blizzard also advanced to the International Silver Stick, notching one win and three losses.
Meanwhile, the Kincardine U15B Kinucks travelled to the International Silver Stick tournament in Forest on the weekend, and made it as far as the semi-finals.
In round-robin play, the Kinucks defeated the South Huron Sabres, 3-1; the Denver Arapahoe A Maize, 8-1; and the Parry Sound Shamrocks, 3-0; and suffered a 3-1 loss to the Lambton Shores Predators.
The Kinucks advanced to the semi-finals, facing the South Huron Sabres, and lost, 6-1.
