Christine Heinisch (above) is the new manager of financial services/treasurer for Huron-Kinloss township, effective Jan. 29.

Mayor Don Murray made the announcement Tuesday.

“Christine (Heinisch) brings more than 15 years’ experience in municipal finance and I’m thrilled to have her onboard,” said Murray. “Her experience, strong educational background, and unwavering professionalism make her an ideal fit for our organization.”

Chief administrative officer Mary Rose Walden welcomes Heinisch to the township’s senior leadership team. “Her previous experience with our organization, combined with her expertise, assures me that she will seamlessly integrate into our team."

“I am excited for the opportunity to return to the township as the manager of financial services/treasurer,” said Heinisch. “As a life-long resident of Huron-Kinloss, I look forward to serving the council and ratepayers of my community and contributing to the future growth and sustainability of this beautiful area I am proud to call home.”

Heinisch takes over from Jodi MacArthur who has been appointed the new chief admistrative officer, taking on that role in the wake of Walden's retirement in the spring.
