Kincardine Legion Corner
Congratulations to Stacy Robertson who won $1,533 in Wednesday’s
Catch the Ace draw. She chose Envelope No. 14 which contained the Nine of Spades. If she had found the Ace of Spades, she would have won $27,698.50! The next draw should see the jackpot sitting at about $29,000! Catch the Ace tickets can be purchased in-person or on-line. Pop into the Legion and grab a couple, and see what’s going on. There is usually some type of sports event playing on one of the big-screen TVs. Grab a chair, a drink and a bite to eat and watch for a while; you never know who you are going to see there.
Because of the snowstorm, the
Saturday Meat Draw saw a small turn-out - only 28 people, including the bartender. Jim McDonald took away three of the eight meat prizes, making him a triple-dipper, and I, Lisa Shaw, won the 50/50 of $100! I have found that the more you attend events like this, the better your chances are at winning! We are always looking for people to help with all the events that are going on. So, stop in and put your name forward to volunteer; if you have your Smart Serve, even better.
If you are a member or thinking of becoming one,
why not consider becoming part of the executive? Be a member, not a number. Stop by and talk to our present executive members and find out what is involved. A great time to do this is at our general meetings - you have to be a member to attend. Our next one is Sunday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m., in the hall. If you are not a member of the Legion, you can come in Monday to Saturday and inquire about how to become one. Doors open at Noon.
The
Kitchen Refresh is coming along and we hope soon to have it up and running. There will be a bigger menu and more food options available! Again, always looking for people to help.
Bingo is every Thursday night, starting at 6:45 p.m. Until the kitchen refresh is complete, there will be no food coming out of the kitchen but you can still order food from the upstairs bar.
