​Township announces winners of Holiday Shopping Pass

Three people have each won 150 Huron-Kinloss dollars as the winners of the Holiday Shopping Pass promotion.

Held Nov. 12 to Dec. 24, the promotion urged people to shop at participating businesses in Lucknow and Ripley, and for every $10 they spent, they received a sticker. Once they collected 15 stickers (or spent $150), they submitted the completed pass to the township for a chance to win one of three township shopping sprees.

This year, there were 1,091 completed entries, about the same as last year. This represents $163,000 spent in Huron-Kinloss during the promotion.

The grand prize winners were John Curran, Sandra McVicar and Marnie Wintemute.

The township urges people to continue to support local businesses all year long.
