​Tiverton Winterfest draws a small but appreciative crowd
The annual Tiverton Winterfest drew a small but appreciative crowd on the weekend. Attendance was impacted by the intense cold, snowy, windy weather.

The activities began with a Pre-Teen Dance, Friday night.

Saturday morning saw a solid turn-out for the Tiverton Goodtimers Pancake Breakfast. And the afternoon featured the progressive euchre tournament, with about 20 in attendance, at Knox Presbyterian Church in Tiverton, and the Port Elgin Lions Club Mega TV Bingo in the Lions Hall.

Winterfest continued Sunday morning with the worship service at Knox Presbyterian Church, followed by a free chili luncheon at the church, courtesy of the Hutton family.

And a good crowd enjoyed the Family Fun Skating Party, Sunday afternoon, at the Tiverton Sports Centre, with free skating, face-painting by Lisa Leyes, and free hot dogs and hot chocolate.

The event was organized by the Tiverton Lions Club and the Tiverton Agricultural Society.
