Goderich resident faces impaired driving charge

(HURON KINLOSS-, ON) - The South Bruce OPP has arrested and charged a driver who was driving in a suspicious manner.

Feb. 23, at 12:55 a.m., police were on general patrol and observed a motor vehicle driving much slower than the posted speed limit. The vehicle then left the roadway and parked on the shoulder of the road.

Officers spoke to the driver who was displaying signs of impairment. The police had the driver submit to a Standard Field Sobriety Test. The driver was arrested and transported to the South Bruce OPP detachment for further tests by a Drug Recognition Expert.

Ryan Mclean, 39, of Goderich was charged with:
 

• Operation while Impaired - Alcohol and Drugs
• Traffic in Schedule I Substance - Cocaine
• Fail to Comply with Probation Order

The accused will appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton, April 3.
