The Knotty Pine Restaurant in Kincardine has been sold.
But it's business as usual at the establishment which is famous for its eat-in and take-out Chinese food.
Danny Chau (in photo with Jason Lin, left, and Andy Chen), who has owned the restaurant with his brother, Jim, for almost 30 years, said the business was sold Tuesday (Nov. 10) to Jason Lin of Toronto and Andy Chen of Owen Sound, owners of Chef Wok in Owen Sound. Danny and his wife, Elaine, will continue to work at the restaurant - she, full-time; and he, part-time - along with all their staff.
With a laugh, Danny said he's getting old and it was time to sell the restaurant where he has worked so hard for so many years.
"We thank all our great customers for their support over the years," said Danny. "We hope you will all support Jason and Andy as well."
Jason said some changes have already taken place - with the new sign on top of the restaurant, and a new sign at the road, featuring the Knotty Pine's new website address: www.kincardineknottypine.ca, and a new delivery service available Noon to 8 p.m., at a cost of $3 per order, in-town only, with a minimum order of $40.
"It's the same good food but we're going to be introducing a few specials and some new dishes," said Jason. "We'll also have a new-style menu."
