Bulldogs post three wins, one loss in past two weeks of play
The Kincardine Nicol Insurance Junior "C" Bulldogs have posted three wins and one loss in the past two weeks.
They were edged out by Wingham, 4-3, Friday, Nov. 6, and then downed Hanover, 5-4, in overtime, Saturday, Nov. 7.
This past weekend, the 'Dogs shut out the Hanover Barons, 3-0, Saturday night at the Davidson Centre. Goal-scorers were Logan Swanton from Shane Vollmer; Matthew Mah from Tyler Sutter; and Keegan Angel with an empty-netter from Patrick Wiejak.
Sunday afternoon in Walkerton, the Bulldogs edged the Hawks, 3-2.
Walkerton opened the scoring midway in the first, but Kincardine tied it up early in the second on a powerplay effort by Matthew Mah, from Dalton Hnatko and Brady Richards.
Walkerton scored on a penalty shot, to take a 2-1 lead, but Kincardine slammed in two more quick powerplay goals late in the period, to take a 3-2 lead. Shawn Moore scored from Vollmer and Gerrit Satosek; and then Satosek scored from Eric Langridge and Vollmer.
Walkerton could not score the tying goal before the end of regulation time, and the Bulldogs took the win.
The 'Dogs are in Goderich Sunday, Nov. 22, for a 2:30 p.m. game, and then return home to face Goderich, Friday, Nov. 27, at 8:30 p.m., and Mitchell, Saturday, Nov. 28, at 7 p.m., at the Davidson Centre.
