Golf Fore Kids’ Sake tournaments set for June in Kincardine, Wingham
The Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Bruce North Huron organization has been hosting a Golf Fore Kids’ Sake Tournament in Kincardine for more than 30 years and this is the second year in Wingham.

This year, the group is celebrating 40 years of mentorship with special prizes and activities at both tournaments. These events are a vital community fund-raiser to help raise needed funds for the youth in these communities.

The Kincardine tournament is presented by NPX, and will be held Saturday, June 1, for women and Friday, June 7, for men at Ainsdale Golf Course.

“NPX is delighted to be a supporter of Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Bruce North Huron,” said innovator Margaret McBeath. “Together, we're igniting sparks of potential and fostering a community where every child can dream big and thrive. Let's spread joy, empowerment, and endless possibilities through the power of mentorship. Here's to creating a future filled with boundless opportunities and unstoppable ambition.”

The Wingham co-ed tournament is presented by the Nuclear Waste Management Organization (NWMO) and will be held Saturday, June 22, at the Wingham Golf and Curling Club.

“The NWMO is proud to support Big Brothers and Big Sisters’ annual fund-raising golf tournament," said Michael Pahor, site director for NWMO South Bruce. "Big Brothers and Big Sisters work to strengthen the communities in which they serve, which is a value shared by NWMO."

Last year’s Kincardine tournament hosted 165 golfers, raising more than $21,400, while the Wingham tournament hosted 44 golfers and raised more than $17,200! One hundred per cent of the proceeds go to support young people in Southern Bruce and Northern Huron counties.

Fun things to look forward to, include some great competition holes, a putting contest, prizes and more!

The Spirit Award is presented to the best-dressed team from each day. This year, Maitland Welding and Machining is sponsoring this award for the tournaments in Kincardine and Wingham.

Registration includes nine holes (Wingham tournament) or 18 holes (Kincardine tournament) of golf, cart, dinner, competition holes, prizes and much more!
