Great line-up of bands for third annual Rock With Your Docs, June 21, in Kincardine

The third annual Rock With Your Docs fund-raiser, in support of the Kincardine hospital, is set to run Friday, June 21, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine. Doors open at 3 p.m., and the show starts at 4 p.m. and runs until 11 p.m.

This year’s concert features a great line-up of bands, including Higher Funktion, Franks ‘n Beans, Local Anesthesia (the local doctors and nurses), and Lulu's to headline the night.

Chef Alex of West Coast Catering is creating a beautiful spread of food which is part of your ticket price. The meal includes roast beef, chicken, baked potato with all the fixings, salad bar, and dessert.

There will be a cash bar, and a live auction which features an Air Canada flight package with two tickets to anywhere in North America, including Hawaii or Mexico, with a luggage set generously donated by Penetangear; and a live edge epoxy river coffee table custom-made by Dr. Jason Murray.

All the money goes to the Kincardine Hospital’s capital campaign, “Building Health Care for Generations,” which will bring a brand new emergency department and an MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) machine to Kincardine Hospital.

Other communities are facing reductions in services and the closure of their hospitals. It is imperative that everyone support this fund-raising event to ensure we have the services we need at a strong and vibrant Kincardine Hospital for years to come.
