To the Editor:

After the monument honouring Dr. Solomon Secord stood in front of the Kincardine Library for more than 110 years, the site now looks vacant.

It is like a slap in the face to the people who had the monument erected there and to the people who call Kincardine home to see our history being destroyed.

May the monument be returned to its site for the first Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band parade this summer to keep our history alive in 2024.
