​Kincardine resident wins $100,000 lottery prize

Toni Pendergast (above) of Kincardine is $100,000 richer after winning with INSTANT GOLD PURSUIT (Game No. 2411).

A lottery player for nearly 20 years, she plays a variety of games with OLG, but this is her first big win.

“I scanned my ticket on the OLG app and saw $100,000 come up,” said Pendergast when she picked up her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “I thought it had to be a prank. I was so excited, running around the house in disbelief. My dog was looking at me like I was crazy.

“My grandma was the first person I told, and she didn’t believe it either! I had to send her a screenshot of the prize amount.”

When asked how it felt to win big, Pendergast said, “Winning feels warm, fuzzy, and kind of like pins and needles. Also, a little numb because it doesn’t feel real.”

She plans to treat herself to a vacation, and her mom and grandma to a spa day. The rest will be invested for her future.
