“Summer Coastal Scenes” is next print in Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary fund-raiser

“Summer Coastal Scenes” by Nova Scotian Folk artist Maud Lewis, is the next print in the South Bruce Grey Health Centre - Kincardine Hospital Auxiliary's Art/Easel Program fund-raiser.

On display at Sobeys Kincardine, this is a limited edition print, featuring three different Lewis paintings: “Fishing Vessels,” “Smith’s Cove Digby” and “Peggy’s Cove.” Lewis painted her seascapes in her own unique way that were simple but colourful celebrations of her own life experiences.

The second print on display at Sobeys, is entitled “Team of Oxen,” also by Lewis. Oxen were once of vital importance for Nova Scotia’s rural farms and Lewis often painted these decorated animals in different seasons.

The print at the Kincardine Hospital is entitled, “East Wind,” by Group of Seven artist A.J. Casson.

The print at Rona Kincardine is entitled, “Toronto Maple Leafs 1967 Champions Collage.”

The print at Boston Pizza in Kincardine is entitled, “Taylor Swift Eras Tour.”

The starting bid for each print is $200, and they are on display until Tuesday, June 25.
