It was a hot, sunny Saturday as hundreds of people joined in the colourful Kincardine Pride Parade, which began at the Bruce Power facility behind the Sutton Park Mall, promoting inclusion and acceptance of everyone.
Hundreds more people watched as the parade marched along Sutton Street to Broadway, south along Queen Street to Lambton Street and down the hill to Macpherson and Dunsmoor Parks.
The parade was led by various pipers and drummers, including members of the Kincardine Scottish Pipe Band, followed by community groups and organizations, churches and businesses, politicians and unions, all sporting bright rainbow colours.
The crowd gathered in the two parks to show support for the 2SLGBTQIA-plus community, and to enjoy several activities, including the Kid Zone, children’s games, and a delicious barbecue put on by the Kincardine Lions Club.
