International Plowing Match returning to Bruce County in 2026
The Ontario Plowmen’s Association and the Bruce County Plowing Association have announced that the International Plowing Match and Rural Expo (IPM) will be hosted by Lang Farms, Sept. 22-26, 2026, in Walkerton.
This will be the fourth time the IPM has been held in Bruce County, marking its 50th anniversary. The executive committee is excited and committed to making it the best event ever!
Local farmer, businessman and entrepreneur Gord Lang has accepted the role of chairman. He has already begun to assemble his executive committee and begin the planning that will require upward of 1,500 volunteers to successfully host this international event.
The executive team has started to meet and put together the program as well as all of the sub-committees that will be required to make the week-long event a reality and a success.
One of the first orders of business is engaging the community to develop a logo and slogan. Lang has issued the challenge to everyone in Bruce County to put on your thinking caps and put your ideas to paper. It can be a brand-new idea, or a culmination of favourite items included in past logos/slogans. The deadline is July 1; so send your ideas to
brucecountyipm@gmail.com.
It is also the first call for volunteers who wish to be involved in one of the biggest events that the area will realize, with more than 200,000 people expected to attend.
“Show your pride in agriculture, community and Bruce County and step up and help in one of the thousands of roles that will be required,” says Lang.
Interested participants, volunteers, sponsors, and exhibitors, can send an E-mail to
brucecountyipm@gmail.com, identifying your area of interest and one of the volunteer organizers will respond.
