South Bruce OPP report more vandalism, property damage in Walkerton

PROPERTY DAMAGE IN WALKERTON
 
(BROCKTON, ON) - July 3, at 12:38 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of an individual causing property damage in downtown Walkerton.

Officers arrived and took the accused into custody, without incident.

A 39-year-old Brockton resident has been charged with Mischief under $5,000.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton at a later time.

FURTHER GRAFFITI REPORTED TO POLICE

(WALKERTON, ON) - Over the past few weeks, members of the South Bruce OPP have been investigating mischief at the Walkerton Community Centre, the baseball diamonds and the Durham Street Bridge area.

June 24, police received the report of vandalism at the ball diamonds. Sometime between the evening of June 21, and the morning of June 24, unknown individual(s) caused damage to benches, bleachers, building walls, and the dug-outs.

Police have received further reports that the bridge area on Durham Street was spray-painted with graffiti.

Anyone with information about this incident, including video surveillance or suspect information, is encouraged to contact the South Bruce OPP.
