Jim and Fran Farrell enjoyed a musical evening at Lakeshore United Church in Goderich, Friday. Many talented musicians were involved in this fund-raising event for their refugee family coming early in January.
Also, the Farrell family attended the wedding of their nephew, Curtis Roberts, and Jessica Beckett at the Cambridge Mill, Saturday. Curtis is the son of Susan and Peter Roberts of Nairn.
Some Grove folks were able to attend the informal wake for Christine Martin at Huron Villa, Saturday.
Cheryl and Carman Bridge spent the weekend with family near Dungannon.
Sheena Houghton William, Alayna, and Evan were home for their Thanksgiving weekend with Doug and Shirley MacDonald.
It was a good evening for the Santa Claus parade in Ripley, Sunday night. Thanks to Santa for being at the Complex for the children to visit, and to Doug MacDonald for bringing in the team for horse and wagon rides.
The Purple Grove Women's Institute Dec. 2 meeting will be at 1:30 p.m. at Fran Farrell’s. Roll Call is items for the Christmas Hampers and a donation will be made to Sleeping Children Around the World. Ladies are asked to bring white socks for a project.
