​Outpatient lab appointments cancelled today at Kincardine Hospital

If you were planning to get laboratory work done at the Kincardine Hospital today (July 19), all appointments have been cancelled.

That’s the word from Mandy Dobson, director of clinical support and ambulatory care with the South Bruce Grey Health Centre which operates hospitals in Kincardine, Walkerton, Chesley and Durham.

Dobson states, “Our partners at Dynacare have indicated the global Microsoft outage has impacted their systems and they have advised us to discontinue outpatient collections today until the issue is resolved.

“We anticipate outpatient lab services to resume as per usual on Monday (July 22) but will provide further updates, as required. Urgent same-day outpatient lab appointments will continue as per usual. Staff is currently working through notifying impacted patients and re-booking, as necessary.

“We apologize for the inconvenience.”
