Kincardine Legion Corner
Here we are in August already. To recap last week, our
Legion Family Dinner was a success, with tickets selling out very quickly. Make a note to yourself to go early if you are planning to attend the next one.
As for the
Saturday Meat Draw, Elmer Lamont won $114 on the 50/50, and we had a triple-dipper; congratulations to Dave Dyer.
So that you can plan ahead and save the dates, here are some Branch 183 events coming this fall:
- Friday, Sept. 13, “One Man, Three Legends: A Tribute to Elvis, Johnny Cash, and Roy Orbison” with The Royal Tribute Band. Tickets are currently on sale at the Legion Bar.
- Friday, Oct. 4, Fall Dinner and Dance, featuring The Wayne Peeters Band.
- Saturday, Oct. 12, “An Evening with Kelly Elson,” who is a psychic medium.
- Saturday, Nov. 30, the annual Lulu's Band Hootenanny
- Tuesday, Dec. 31, New Year’s Eve with the Adam Cousins Band
The best place to find more information on these events is our Branch 183 Facebook page. Ticket information and other details are posted there as they become available.
To end this week, we wanted to catch up on a congratulatory note and honour
Shirley Ross who received her Legion 35-year pin. Shirley was not able to attend the Honours and Awards and Volunteer Appreciation Dinner so Cathy Alcombrack visited her and presented her with her pin. Congratulations Shirley!
