South Bruce OPP track and arrest wanted individual
(CULROSS TWP, ON) - Aug. 1, at 9:13 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of an individual on a property along Concession 4, Culross Township. The individual showed up in a stolen vehicle reported earlier by Grey Bruce OPP.
Officers arrived on scene and located the stolen vehicle. The individual was wanted by police and fled on foot.
Members of the OPP West Region Emergency Response Team, OPP Aviation, West Region K-9 Unit, and front-line officers responded to the call and located the individual in the area. The individual was taken into custody.
As a result of the police investigation, a 32-year-old of Kincardine was charged with:
- Theft over $5,000
- Possession of stolen property over $5,000
- Flight from police
- Two counts of Drive while Prohibited
- Mischief
- Trespassing
The accused was held in custody and will be appearing before the Ontario Court of Justice in Walkerton to answer to the charges.
