​“Tint the Town Teal” for Big Brothers, Big Sisters Month

Big Brothers and Big Sisters of South Bruce North Huron are again urging Kincardine and area businesses and residents to “Tint the Town Teal,” recognizing September as Big Brothers and Big Sisters Month and helping raise awareness about the organization’s critical need for mentors.

In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency has noticed an unprecedented surge in program enrolment, as well as a growing number of young people who have suffered adverse childhood experiences.

Mentoring relationships are crucial for youth as they provide guidance, support, and motivation, helping the youth navigate challenges and build essential life skills; setting the stage for future success.
