MINOR INJURIES AT TWO-VEHICLE CRASH
(BRANT TWP, ON) – Dec. 3, at 4:20 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a two-vehicle crash on Bruce County Road 4 in Brant Township.
Officers arrived to find that a white Dodge Caravan was stopped to turn into the TSC store, when the vehicle was struck from behind by a silver Chevrolet Optra. The driver of the Optra, a 58-year-old Brockton man, was charged with follow too close. There were minor injuries reported at the scene.
VAN RUNS INTO ROAD CONSTRUCTION SITE
(CARRICK TWP, ON) – Dec. 2, at 2:13 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a red Dodge Grand Caravan driving into a road construction site along Sideroad 21/22 in Carrick Township.
Officers arrived to find that the driver had been drinking alcohol. Thirty-six-year old Nichole PANOS of West Grey Township has been charged with dangerous driving, impaired driving and operate over-80 milligrams. She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 4, 2016, to answer to the charges. None of the road crew members reported being hit by the van.
IMPAIRED DRIVER LOSES CONTROL
(BRUCE TWP, ON) – Dec. 2, at 5:37 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a single-vehicle crash along the Bruce-Saugeen Line in Bruce Township.
Officers arrived to find that a grey Mazda 3 had left the roadway and ended up on the front lawn of a property in the 1100 block of the Bruce-Saugeen line. The driver was found to have been drinking alcohol.
Twenty-four-year-old Torrie SIMPSON of South Bruce Peninsula has been charged with impaired driving and refuse breath sample. She is scheduled to appear in court Jan. 6, 2016, to answer to the charges. There were no injuries reported.
