Individual facing assault-with-a-weapon charges after incident in Lucknow

(HURON-KINLOSS, ON) – Sept. 5, just after 6 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of suspicious people carrying baseball bats on Havelock Street in Lucknow.

Officers arrived and observed an altercation between two individuals. One of those individuals brandished an edged weapon and was safely taken into custody.

The police investigation revealed two victims, one of whom fled from the scene with minor injuries, and the other who remained on scene.

Ian SMITH, 39, of no fixed address, was charged with three counts of Assault with a Weapon.

The accused was processed and held in custody, pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice – Walkerton, Sept. 6.
