MAN ARRESTED AT BREAK-IN
(WALKERTON, ON) – Dec. 2, at 12:13 a.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of suspicious activity at the Walkerton Inn located along Yonge Street South in Walkerton.
Officers arrived to find that one of the rooms had been forcibly entered. Thirty-year-old Justin SPTIZIG of Walkerton has been charged with one count of break and enter and one count of mischief. He was held in custody pending the results of a show cause hearing Dec. 2.

SOUTH BRUCE OPP JOIN POLICE PARTNERS AT FESTIVE RIDE LAUNCH
(GREY COUNTY, ON) – Thursday, Dec. 3, the South Bruce OPP teamed up with the police services of Grey and Bruce counties at a Festive RIDE launch event at the outskirts of Owen Sound. Following the launch, members of the South Bruce detachment will be conducting multi-agency RIDE checks in Bruce County.
Police services in Grey and Bruce counties conduct RIDE spot checks and other road safety initiatives throughout the year. As we enter the holiday season, police services across our region wish to remind drivers that RIDE checks will be conducted on our roadways not only during the holiday season but throughout the year, with the goal of keeping our roads safe for all users.
