Special Remembrance Day exhibit, speakers at Walker House Museum
The Walker House Museum is showcasing a special exhibit and speakers for Remembrance Day.
The exhibit is entitled, “Walker House Remembers,” and is on now until Nov. 16. It showcases a remarkable collection of artifacts, including items from the museum’s own collection and cherished loans from local community members, all honouring the stories of those who served in the First and Second World Wars.
In addition, the museum is proud to feature a
dedicated display (below) honouring former Kincardine mayor Charlie Mann, a member of the legendary Devil's Brigade during the Second World War. This exhibit has been generously loaned to the museum by the Municipality of Kincardine.
The speaker event will be held Saturday, Nov. 9, with two available seating times: 2-3:30 p.m., and 7-8:30 p.m. Participating speakers are Glenys Johnson who will present “Almost Lost: Finding the Lampman Family Treasure Trove,” and Kevin Larson who will discuss “The Second World War: Malcolm Furniture and the Mosquito.”
Admission to both the exhibit and the speaker event are by donation.
To reserve a seat for the speaker event, send an E-mail message to
