Kincardine Legion Corner
Colleen Libiec of Kincardine won $2,081 in the
Catch the Ace draw. She chose Envelope No. 14 which contained the Seven of Clubs. The progressive jackpot is expected to grow to a possible $36,000 for next Wednesday's draw, with your help! If you can’t make it to the Legion for the draws on Wednesday afternoons, tune in on Facebook Live with our host, Russ, starting at 4 p.m.
At the
Saturday Meat Draw, we had a nice even spread of winners, with no double-dippers at all. Debbie Emmerton was the winner of the 50/50 draw and took home $181. Congratulations to all the winners. The next Mega Meat Draw will be Saturday, Dec. 7. There will be turkeys to be won, perogies and wings for snacks, and the entertainment will be provided by Midnight Special Duo. Plan to attend!
Thank you to everyone who attended the
Legion Remembrance Day services, either in Kincardine or Tiverton, or both, to help us honour our veterans for their service and sacrifices. We also extend a big thank you to the many people involved in planning and organizing the services, including the laying of the wreaths, the Colour Party, the thoughtful words spoken, as well as the wonderful lunch we enjoyed afterwards. There are videos summarizing both the Tiverton and Kincardine services playing on Bruce Telecom Community Channel 1 for the next week or so, if you were unable to attend and would like to see segments of the services.
Guest Quizmaster Todd Thompson was in charge of Friday’s
Trivia Night, and the Legion was pleased to present him with a cheque for $1000 toward his Movember Campaign, supporting men's health. It was a great night with a four-way tie for first place. Here is a sample question from the night:. Which famous country singer once lost in his/her own look-alike contest? If you know the answer to this one, you should come out to a Trivia Night!
