You can't fix stupid, says reader

To the Editor:
Re: Kincardine council faces pipeline debt decision Wednesday night in Underwood

“Allocate charges to be paid by all properties in the municipality" - ha! What twit thought that one up?
Will the municipality pay for my well if something goes wrong with it? Heck no!
Does this pipeline come anywhere near my farm? Again, heck no.
Council of the day bulldozed this one through without much thought. I've been told that the pipeline was originally intended to service the Inverhuron Provincial Park; however, that fell through, for whatever reason, I forget.
So, then council of the day says, "Okay, folks, if you don't want to hook up to it, that's okay. You won't have to pay for it."
How many homes along the B-line actually hooked up to it? Most of the homes along the lakeshore, at that time, had their own wells, some had shared wells.
The point here is, those who wanted to hook up to your stupid pipeline are the ones who should be paying for it, period.
Now, the municipality is facing a lawsuit, which it has a very good chance of losing.
And whoever the idiot is, who thinks that everyone should pay ... wow! You can't fix stupid!
