​Cathy Dadson, formerly of Ripley, dies at the age of 82

Catherine "Cathy" Dadson (nee Culbertson) of St. Thomas, formerly of Ripley, died at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital, Friday, Jan. 17, 2025, in her 83rd year.

Wife of the late John L. Dadson Sr. (2020).

Mother of John L. Dadson Jr. (Mary), Tammy Dadson, Lee Dadson, and the late Charles Dadson (1979).

Sister of Samuel Culbertson, Brenda Tilley, and the late Robert “Bob” Culbertson (2013).

Also survived by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Born in Simcoe, Sept. 1, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Edith (née Coates) Culbertson.

A retired elementary school custodian, she worked most of her career at the school in Ripley.

She was a former member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Lord Elgin Branch 41, St. Thomas.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place.

Private interment, Elmdale Memorial Park Cemetery, St. Thomas.
