Public meeting set for Feb. 12, for draft Kincardine zoning bylaw
A public meeting will be held Wednesday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. in the Kincardine council chamber, regarding the municipality’s new draft zoning bylaw.
At the meeting, Wednesday (Jan. 22), council received the final draft of the comprehensive zoning bylaw, as presented by chief building official Dwayne McNab and the consultant, MHBC.
The year-long zoning bylaw review process has included consultation, comments and feedback from the public, key stakeholders, staff and commenting authorities. The bylaw provides the regulatory provisions by bringing together the guiding principles of the Provincial Policy Statement and Official Plans.
The draft bylaw is available on the Kincardine website at:
www.kincardine.ca/our-services/projects/comprehensive-zoning-by-law. The public can submit further questions, ask questions, and provide feedback until Feb. 14.
The public meeting, Feb. 12, is council’s opportunity to formally provide feedback and ask any questions of staff and MHBC.
After that meeting and the close-out of the public engagement, MHBC and municipal staff will take any comments into consideration for review and bring the final bylaw back to council, hopefully, at the March 12 meeting.
