Driver charged with flight from police
(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - Feb. 2, at 1:29 a.m., a member of the South Bruce OPP on patrol along Concession 4 in Arran-Elderslie Township, stopped to check a vehicle, which then fled.
Police were later able to locate the subject vehicle and identify the driver.
As a result of the investigation, Joseph McNICHOL, 50, of Arran-Elderslie, has been charged with the following offences:
- Flight from peace officer, CC 320.17
- Driving while under suspension, HTA 53(1)
The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice, Walkerton, March 5.
