Kincardine Lions announce Dinner Draw winners, life members, and donation

The Kincardine Lions were busy at Tuesday’s meeting, at the Davidson Centre in Kincardine, as they drew the winning tickets for the annual Dinner Draw, and presented three life memberships.

Two visiting Lions from the Orangeville Lions Club, Bill Hutchinson and Don Tone, assisted Lions Ken Fair and draw chairman Lion Paul Kozma with the draw.

The Club thanks all the participating restaurants and everyone who purchased tickets for the draw.

Also at Tuesday’s meeting, acting president Lion Scott Stevens, who received his life membership in January, presented life memberships in the Lions Foundation of Canada, to Lions Joan Thompson, Peter Wolfe and Sara Jones. Money from the purchase of these awards goes toward the foundation’s Dog Guide training program.

And couple of weeks ago, the Kincardine Lions presented a $500 donation to the Kinetic Knights Robotics Team, supporting this youth program. FRC Team 781 is currently building a robot to compete at Ontario District events in Scarborough and Windsor this year.
