Goderich man faces racing charge

(CENTRAL HURON, ON) – An 18-year-old Goderich man has been charged with Racing, following a traffic stop last week. 

At about 6:45 p.m., Dec. 17, a Huron County OPP officer spotted a Hyundai Sonata speeding westbound on Huron Road (Highway 8) near Orchard Line. The officer confirmed the speeding vehicle by using a RADAR device. The speed of the Sonata was locked at 143 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A traffic stop was initiated and the driver was subsequently charged.
 

Casey HUFF, 18, of Goderich has been charged with “Race a Motor Vehicle”. He has a court appearance scheduled for Feb. 2, 2016, at Provincial Offences Act Court in Goderich. His licence has been suspended for seven days and his motor vehicle will be impounded for the week.
