Arrest made for assaulting police
(ARRAN-ELDERSLIE, ON) - Feb. 13, at approximately 7:50 p.m., the South Bruce OPP received the report of a disturbance at an address along 1st Avenue South in Chesley.
While police were on scene, an individual became assaultive with officers. The individual was subsequently placed under arrest. No injuries were sustained by police or the accused.
As a result of the investigation, Patrick FLETCHER, 35, of Arran-Elderslie has been charged with:
- Assault police, CC 270(1)(a)
- Obstruct peace officer, CC 129(1)
The accused is set to appear in the Walkerton Court of Justice, March 26, to answer to the charges.
