Heavy snow drifts cause closure of Highway 21 in Kincardine area, again

For the second weekend in a row, Highway 21 in the Kincardine area is closed, due to heavy snow, high wind, and heavy snow drifts across the roadway.
Friday, at 12:05 a.m., the South Bruce OPP reported the highway was closed, from Amberley to Tiverton, due to blowing and drifting snow.
School buses were cancelled in Kincardine, Ripley, Lucknow and Walkerton. Most of the schools remained open, but Kincardine Township-Tiverton Public School and St. Anthony’s School in Kincardine were closed.
The Kincardine municipal administrative centre was also closed.
